Posu "po!" Yan began his musical training at age 4, learning piano from his mother, and later learning violin at age 7. Since then, he has played in many orchestras, string quartets, and chamber groups - including with the UC Berkeley Symphony. After acquiring a Yamaha CS1x in 1997, he was able to explore new musical territory. Using his classical training and jazz, hip-hop, and r&b influences, po! began creating music as a hobby.
